Senior Living Development In Howell Will Be Heard Aug. 4
The Aspire Luxury Senior Living apartment building in Howell will have 130 units, including independent and assisted living and memory care.

HOWELL, NJ — Consideration of a proposed 130-unit senior housing development on Route 9 has been moved to the Aug. 4 meeting of the Howell Planning Board, the board office confirmed.
The development is on Route 9 north near West Farms Road.
Woodmont Senior Living, LLC, the developer, wants to build a three-story building with 130 luxury senior living apartment units, including independent living apartments, assisted living units and memory care units. There is also space reserved near the Route 9 frontage for future commercial use, though no details have been provided.

The proposed 75,208 square-foot apartment building would be named Aspire Luxury Senior Living at Howell.
According to Planning Board records, the developer is also proposing three courtyards and 130 parking spaces on the 11.57-acre site, as well as 19 electric vehicle chargers.

Access to the site will be provided by one new full-movement driveway along West Farms Road and one new right-in/right-out only driveway along Route 9, the application says. Additional improvements include landscaping, lighting a refuse enclosure and a series of aboveground and underground basins that will provide storm water management on premises.
The proposal still requires a number of variances and waivers, including those for signs, fences and walls. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
