Summer Programs...Adult Sessions Available

Summer Program Sessions

In its first year, the Equestrian Experience will offer a variety of Summer Horsemanship programs. Students will progress with their riding skills, as they ride in a group lesson each day. Horseback riding is both a fun experience and a great exercise. Participants will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about horses in information sessions. Activities will also include equine related crafts and games; and students will have a chance to meet and interact with others who share their passion for riding, horses, and spending time at the barn. White Pine Farm is also home to several lambs, goats, ducks, and chickens. The program is located on the very peaceful 10 acres of White Pine Farm, in the Ramtown section of Howell. A beginner-intermediate session will run from Tuesday, June 27th thru July 1st. The final day of that program will include games on horseback. For the advanced rider the program will run from Tuesay, July 18th thru Friday July 22nd with the final day of camp featuring a ride along the trail near the farm. Classes will frun from 9:30 to 3:30 each day. Pricing is $400 for the week, or students will have the option of attending a single day session at $100.

Adults will also have the opportunity to attend a summer riding instruction program. They are invited to carve out some “me” time while the children are off to camp. The program will consist of a morning of riding and specialized education about the care of horses, grooming and tacking the horse, and other unmounted activities. These morning sessions will be geared to the adult who had some riding experience earlier in life and would like to revisit the sport – or – for those who have always had a desire to climb aboard a horse and learn to ride!

Slots are still available in all sessions – and since this is the first year Equestrian Experience is operating a summer program, Caitlynn Tobin, Instructor/Owner, has said that she is open to any suggestions a potential student or students may wish to explore.

The barn will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, June 11th from 10 am thru 4 pm. Take the opportunity to explore the farm, meet the horses, and sit and discuss potential programs with the owner/instructor. If you are unable to attend on that day, please call 908-334-1042 to set up a time for your own private tour or email questions to equestrianexp@gmail.com.
