Swim club to host fundraiser for Troop 300 dad battling cancer
Boy Scout Troop 300 invites community to attend family-friendly event this Saturday

HOWELL -- St. Veronica's Boy Scout Troop 300 is holding a Greg Mador Fundraiser from 3-7 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Candlewood Swim and Racquet Club, 31 Newbury Road, to help Greg Mador, who has been battling cancer for over two years.
Greg, who has been very active in Troop 300, church and community efforts, is currently undergoing his second round of chemotherapy with the likelihood of another life-altering surgery. He has been out of work for several months, and his cancer treatments are expensive.
The swim club is generously donating 80 percent of proceeds from the first 100 guests who mention they are there to support Greg Mador. Guest passes are $10 each, with $8 from each pass going directly to the fundraiser.
