Teen Who Fled Marlboro Health Facility Found Safe: Cops
The teen was located after an "extensive" search that included Marlboro and Holmdel police, state police, the MCPO and others.
MARLBORO, NJ - A teenager who walked away from a substance abuse residential facility in Marlboro last weekend was located hours later nearly 10 miles away in Old Bridge, authorities confirmed Monday.
The 16-year-old male who walked away from the New Hope Behavioral Health Care Center on Conover Road was reported missing to the Marlboro Township Police Department at about 4 p.m. yesterday, Capt. Steve Levy confirmed to Patch.
An “extensive search” was conducted to locate the teen, Levy said. The search included authorities from Marlboro police, Marlboro First Aid and fire departments, Colts Neck police, Holmdel police, Monmouth County Sheriff's Office, Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit.

The teen was found “several hours later” at an Old Bridge home.
“We are still investigating how he arrived at residence in Old Bridge,” Levy said.
