A 'Toast to Dennis' Gala Scheduled for Friday, Sept. 8
This is a fundraising event to support wounded military veterans returning from combat. Providing service dogs has benefitted our warriors.
FARMINGDALE, N.J. – The Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski Memorial Fund will be hosting its ninth Anniversary Gala titled “A Toast to Dennis – A Night of Remembrance” to be held Friday, September 8 at Eagle Oaks Country Club, 20 Shore Oaks Drive, from 7 p.m. until midnight.
The gala will celebrate the life and memory of Zilinski, as well as honor all veterans, active duty servicemen/women in attendance. A donation of $150 per person is required for an invitation to the event, which will include a cocktail hour, sit-down dinner, dancing with music by The Infernos, and much more.
The event will also feature a reverse auction to assist the Fund in sponsoring service dogs for veterans suffering from PTSD and/or traumatic brain injuries. Several warriors who have returned from combat are expected to attend the affair.

This year’s distinguished honorees are Tom and Marie Dolan of Avon-by-the-Sea and Ron and Kim Jaeger of Rumson.
“These people ate extraordinary Americans who believe in our cause and have been tremendous supporters of the Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II Memorial Fund,” said Marion Zilinski, mother and co-host. “They are awesome people and are quiet about their support.”

Donations in 2016 totaled $285,000, of which $180,000 was specifically dedicated to the sponsorship of the service dogs. The organization has sponsored 43 dogs to date. Over 270 attended last year’s event.

About the Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski II Memorial Fund
The Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II Memorial was created and founded in 2006 in order to honor Lt. Zilinski’s memory and spirit for life. The Fund sponsors programs for injured soldiers and scholarships to Lt. Zilinski’s alma mater, Christian Brothers Academy. The Fund provides support to improve the morale and welfare of members of the United States Armed Forces and their families. Additionally, by providing scholarships, the Fund invests in the future of high school students who embody the leadership qualities and community spirit of Lt. Zilinski.
