USAF Langley Winds concert at Library Headquarters

The Monmouth County Library is honored to host a free concert by the US Air Force Langley Winds on Monday, June 16 at 7 p.m., at Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan 07726.

 

The Langley Winds Woodwind Ensemble has been a chamber music component of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band since 1995.

Each musician in the Langley Winds possesses a variety of musical experiences ranging from festival credits at the National Repertory Orchestra, Brevard Music Center, and the Aspen Music Festival and School to orchestral performances with the Symphony Orchestras of Milwaukee, Jacksonville, Richmond, Knox-Galesburg and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

 The ensemble’s repertoire spans several centuries from Renaissance to Contemporary music.  Most recently, the Langley Winds gave the world premiere of composer Brian DuFord’s "Angels with Red Tails," a piece written to honor the courageous efforts of the Tuskegee Airmen.
