Veteran Memorial To Be Unveiled In Howell

The Howell "Wall of Heroes" will be ribbon cutting ceremony will be on May 12.

HOWELL, NJ — The “Wall of Heroes” project, which has been in the works since earlier this year, will be unveiled on May 12.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the Howell Township Municipal Complex, 4567 U.S. 9, Howell Township.

The project was initially brought up by Deputy Mayor Pamela Richmond at a council meeting in early February. “I want to bring to town hall, in the foyer downstairs, a Wall of Heroes; a military memorial,” Richmond said.

Richmond said the idea behind the Wall of Heroes is “to show our military and our veterans how much they mean to us. As the daughter of a Marine, I think it is important we remember those who serve for us, especially during these times right now.”

A medallion representing each branch of the armed forces, an American flag, a Howell flag and a missing man table may also be included in the display.
