Weather Concerns Have Howell Schools Curtailing Events

Sleet is predicted for the area Tuesday evening into Wednesday.

Officials in both the Howell Township and Freehold Regional High School districts have canceled afterschool activities in advance of the winter storm predicted to bring sleet and possibly snow to the area tonight.

Howell district officials said all afterschool activities, both school-sponsored and those of outside groups, have been cancelled.

Howell PAL aftercare will remain open.

The Freehold Regional High School District said all afterschool activities will conclude by 4:30 p.m.
