What's Open, Closed On Memorial Day In Howell
Government offices and your trash and recycling pickups will be disrupted; check out information on the Memorial Day parade, too.

HOWELL, NJ — With Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start of summer beginning at last, here are some reminders about what's open and what's closed Monday due to the federal holiday:
- All federal, state, county and local government offices are closed
- The U.S. Post Office is closed and there is no mail delivery
- All federal, state and local courts except on an emergency basis
- All branches of the Monmouth County Library are closed
Most retail businesses — stores and restaurants — are open but other businesses, such as professional offices, may not be. It's best to call ahead before you go.
Howell's recycling center will be closed on Monday as well. Those whose recycling is collected on Mondays will have it picked up on Saturday, June 2. For information on garbage collection check with your company.
