JEFFERSON, NJ — The June 2 primary election is tomorrow, and Patch is helping voters in Jefferson Township get ready by breaking down who is on the ballot and what seats are up for grabs.
The most competitive races in Jefferson Tuesday are on the Republican side, where voters will choose between two candidates for mayor — Eric F. Wilsusen, backed by the Morris County Republican Party, and Christian E. Barranco, running under the Save Jefferson, Conservative Republicans banner. The same two factions are facing off for Township Council, with Melissa Senatore and Thomas G. Galfo on the Morris County Republican Party line against Sheila J. Brown and Dorothy "Dottie" Santasieri of the Save Jefferson slate. Democrats filed no municipal candidates for either race.
Both municipalities are in the 11th Congressional District and Morris County.
Polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters unsure of their polling location can use the Polling Place Search tool on the New Jersey Division of Elections website at voter.svrs.nj.gov/polling-place-search.
