• Jefferson Officials Testify in Support of Bill That Could Bring in $5 Million to Schools (tapinto.net) — Jefferson school and township leaders are pushing a state bill that could send up to $5 million a year to Jefferson schools, easing a steep loss in state aid and a $2.9 million budget deficit. Without this relief, officials warn of deep cuts to sports, extracurriculars, and larger class sizes, all tied to strict Highlands preservation limits on local development.
• Jefferson Boys Lacrosse Pulls Away from Kinnelon, Headed Back to Sectional Semifinals (tapinto.net) — Jefferson High’s boys lacrosse team is back in the North Jersey Group 1 semifinals after a 10–6 home win over Kinnelon, powered by junior Tommy Del Masto’s hat trick and dominant face-off play. The Falcons now travel to second-seeded Ramsey on Thursday, aiming to avenge last year’s semifinal loss to the same opponent and finally break through to the final.
