• Jefferson Town Council Appoints New Member (tapinto.net) — A new face is joining Jefferson's Town Council, as longtime resident and business owner Yvonne Ioffredo was unanimously appointed to fill a vacant seat at an August 17 special meeting. She'll serve until November, when voters choose who completes the term, and says she's especially focused on how the Highlands Act affects local residents.
