12 People Charged, 3 Guns Seized After Drug Investigation In Jersey City
Complaints about drug sales on one Jersey City street led to charges against 12 people, and the seizure of guns and cocaine.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Three guns were seized and 12 people charged after a months-long drug investigation in Jersey City, prosecutors said Friday.
Prosecutors found hundreds of rounds of ammunition and various quantities of cocaine, heroin, and prescription drugs during the investigation, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation began after police received reports of narcotics being distributed on Clinton Avenue in Jersey City, prosecutors said.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics and Gangs Task Force conducted the investigation in coordination with the Jersey City Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Arrests were made between July 8 and this past Wednesday.
Those charged in the investigation included, according to prosecutors:

•Anthony Ross, 44, of Jersey City, with offenses relating
to the possession of heroin and cocaine.
• Christian Rivera, 30, of Irvington, offenses relating to the possession of multiple handguns, large capacity magazines, oxycodone, and promethazine.
• Dion Ross, 36, of Jersey City, offenses relating to the possession of heroin and cocaine.
• Shawn Adams, 27, of Jersey City, weapons and narcotics offenses relating to the possession of a handgun, heroin, and cocaine.
• Francisco Delacruz, 35, of Newark, offenses relating
to the possession of heroin and cocaine.
• Diamond Malave, 27, of Jersey City, offenses relating to the possession of heroin and cocaine.
• Jack Ross, 76, of Jersey City, offenses relating to the possession of heroin and cocaine.
• A 61-year-old woman was charged with cocaine posssession.
• Three women were charged with disorderly persons offenses relating to the possession of drug paraphernalia.
An arrest warrant has also been issued for Zaiir Belton, 25, of Jersey City, for offenses related to heroin and cocaine possession, prosecutors said.
Prosecutor Wayne Mello credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics and Gangs Task Force, the Jersey City Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives with the investigation and arrests, with assistance from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.
