2 Cars Hit, Kill Pedestrian In Jersey City: Officials
The crash happened Monday near Sip Avenue and Routes 1 and 9, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A man was killed this week after he was hit by two cars while attempting to cross a Jersey City road, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced Tuesday.
Jersey City police, in cooperation with Hudson County, are investigating the Monday crash that happened around 9:50 p.m. According to authorities, the crash happened near Sip Avenue and Routes 1 and 9.
Authorities said the man was crossing the road when he was hit by a northbound SUV. The driver of the SUV stopped, and shortly after, the pedestrian was hit by a second vehicle, authorities said.

When officers arrived, the man was suffering from multiple injuries. Authorities said he died at the scene.
The man's name has not been released pending notification of family, authorities said. Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
