2 Jersey City Firefighters Injured By Slipping On Ice During Hoboken Blaze
Two Jersey City firefighters were taken to the hospital after they injured themselves fighting a Hoboken blaze.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A three-alarm fire gutted a Hoboken apartment building early Monday, forcing 10 people from their homes and injured two Jersey City firefighters, officials said.
The fire at 314 Hudson St. began around 3:30 a.m., said public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin. It was under control by 4:45 a.m.
Two Jersey City fire personnel — a captain and a firefighter — slipped on the ice at the scene and were treated for minor injuries at the hospital, said Jersey City public safety spokeswoman Kim Wallace-Scalcione. One had an injured elbow and one injured his back, she said.

There's no word on how the fire started yet, Rubin said.
Photos show open windows on all floors and damage to at least the second-floor units.

Hoboken's public safety department said residents were evacuated to a temporary shelter.
The area is five blocks from the Hoboken Train Terminal.
Jersey City and North Hudson Regional Fire Departments responded to assist.
