JERSEY CITY, NJ — Two women were hospitalized on Wednesday after an early-morning shooting in Jersey City, officials said.
The women, both 23, were shot around 1:48 a.m. on the 70 block of Rutgers Avenue, said city public safety spokeswoman Kim Wallace-Scalcione.
One woman was shot in her foot and the other was shot in both legs, Wallace-Scalcione said.
Both women are in an area hospital in stable condition, she said. The injuries were not life-threatening, she said.
The shooting is under investigation.
As of late Wednesday afternoon, there had been no arrests, she said.
