JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Jersey City man has been arrested in a hit-and-run crash that sent a pedestrian to the hospital earlier this month, prosecutors said.
Jayden Medina, 23, of Jersey City was charged with third-degree endangering an injured victim, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors said that on May 9, just before 8 a.m., the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a pedestrian struck in
the area of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Duncan Avenue.
Offficers found a 37-year-old woman with non-life threatening injuries, they said. She was taken to Jersey City Medical Center.
The striking vehicle — later identified as a 2010 Nissan
Sentra — did not remain at the scene, prosecutors said.
Medina was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and released to await his first court appearance.
