Founded in Tokyo by chef Tomoharu Shono, Mensho boasts innovative techniques, house-made noodles, and carefully developed broths and flavors.

Their “Farm to Bowl” philosophy emphasizes ingredients that reflect the surrounding community and culture.

505 Summit is a 54-story tower that's currently leasing one- and two-bedroom apartments, located near the Journal Square PATH train and bus hub.

“Opening in New Jersey as our first East Coast location is a meaningful step for us,” said Shono on Monday. “We’ve expanded in places like San Francisco, Hawaii, and Singapore, but each new city brings its own culture and expectations around food. That’s what excites us about Journal Square."

The chain has been written up in the Michelin restaurant guide. Read more about that here.
