Todd Abramson, the former talent booker at Maxwell's in Hoboken, moved to White Eagle after Maxwell's closed, drawing indie musicians to the downtown Jersey City stage.

Here are some of the shows on tap for spring and summer:

May 22 and 23 - The Feelies 50th Anniversary: The Feelies return to White Eagle Hall for their 50th Anniversary shows. They'll perform "The Good Earth" on Friday and "Crazy Rhythms" on Saturday. These are the band's only live performances this year, the venue says.

May 27 - LaMP: White Eagle Hall and The Jersey City Jazz Festival Present LaMP. featuring three musical masters: Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger and Ray Paczkowski. "The supergroup channels deep-pocket groove, exploratory improvisation, and serious live-wire chemistry," says a release.

May 28 - Camera Obscura: Scottish indie-pop band Camera Obscura bring their timeless mix of wistful melodies and emotional storytelling to White Eagle Hall. The band’s warm, bittersweet songs have made them cult favorites for fans of classic twee pop and heartfelt songwriting.

May 29 - Rebirth Brass Band: Grammy-winning Rebirth Brass Band pays homage to the New Orleans brass band tradition.

June 13 - Robyn Hitchcock Live and Electric - Full Band Show: Founder of art-rock band The Soft Boys, Robyn Hitchcock blends folk, psychedelia, and British nihilism.

July 24 - Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets: Nick Lowe, who wrote and performed "Cruel To Be Kind," returns with Los Straitjackets for what the venue calls "a summer night of songcraft and surf-tinged sound."

More acts are coming to the 8,000-square-foot venue this spring and summer. Find out about shows and ticket prices here.

White Eagle Hall is located at 337 Newark Ave. in Jersey City.
