HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — In this year's elections for Congress, campaigns will be won and lost based on the candidate's record in office and support for the sitting president.
In New Jersey's 8th Congressional District — which includes Elizabeth, Hoboken, part of Jersey City, part of Newark, and several other Hudson County towns — both candidates seeking the Democratic nomination in June have been critical of Pres. Donald Trump.
Incumbent Rob. Menendez must defend his record against former Jersey City school board President Mussab Ali.
Menendez is currently serving his second two-year term, and is seeking a third.
