JERSEY CITY, NJ — Police in Jersey City are looking for an endangered teen who has been missing since last week, they said.
Daven James Hernandez was last seen on Princeton Avenue on July 24 around 9 p.m., police said.
James is 15 and is a light-skinned Hispanic male, standing at 5-5" tall. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts.
He also has used the names Gabriel Garcia, Antonio Hernandez, or Antonio Garcia.
"While diagnosed with ADHD, individuals close to Daven stated that he exhibits high support needs, may become non-verbal when overwhelmed, and is known to self-harm by biting himself when distressed," police said. "Additionally, members of the public should be aware that Daven can be triggered by the phrase 'Puerto Rico,' where he resided prior to moving to the New York/New Jersey area."
Anyone with information regarding Daven's whereabouts is urged to immediately call 911 or contact the Missing Person Unit at 201-547-5427 or 551-227-8511.
