JERSEY CITY, NJ — A fatal shooting in Jersey City on Tuesday night is under investigation, said officials, who released few details on Wednesday.
The shooting occurred on Cornelison Avenue, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office confirmed for Patch.
According to information from the city, the killing took place on the 200 block of Cornelison, in the McGinley Square section.
The death marks the seventh homicide in the city so far this year.
The prosecutor's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, officials said.
More information will be released when it becomes available, said a spokesperson for the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
