Roommates Charged After Drugs Found In Hudson County Apartment: Prosecutors

Two Hudson County residents were charged with operating a narcotics facility after their apartment was raided Thursday.

WEST NEW YORK, NJ — Two people who shared a Hudson County apartment were arrested Thursday after investigators found cocaine and other drugs, prosecutors said Friday.

Roner Arias Ramos, 27, and Juliany Ortiz Yeje, 24, were charged with operating a narcotics facility, said Hudson County Prosecutors.

Members of the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics
and Gangs Task Force and police arrested the pair after a search of an apartment they shared on Thursday, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

During the search, detectives found cocaine, promethazine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, prosecutors said.

Besides operating a facility, they were charged with money laundering, possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine), possession with the intent to distribute (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute (promethazine), intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The pair were arrested on 51st Street and taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility to await their first court appearances, prosecutors said.

Arias Ramos faced additional narcotics charges after cocaine was discovered in his possession during his arrest, prosecutors said.
