UNION CITY, NJ — A Union City man was charged with possession of child sex abuse materials on Monday, officials said.
Adraen Ramirez, 33, was charged with one court of endangering the welfare of a child/possession of child sexual abuse material, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
According to prosecutors, starting in June 2026, the Hudson County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received "multiple" tips that child sex abuse material was being stored on a Google server. An investigation determined that Ramirez owned the account, prosecutors said.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Hudson County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Ramirez at a Weehawken home after an investigation.
Ramirez was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility to await his first court appearance.
