JERSEY CITY, NJ —The Bacon and Beer Classic, a traveling national food and drink festival, will make its NYC/NJ st0p on Saturday in Jersey City.

The event will take place between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot at 107 Morgan St., and will feature beers from local breweries, gourmet bacon dishes and Hormel Black Label bacon strips, according to organizers.

The event, organizers said, has played to sold-out crowds in Chicago, Seattle, Denver and the Bay Area.

Guests at the festival must be 21 and over, and tickets range in price from $65 to $115, the latter for VIP access.

Organizers said a ticket reserves a semi-private time slot and allows attendees to go booth-to-booth along a one-way tasting trail, which features seven bacon entrees, two sweet treats, over 50 beers and ciders and "plenty of bacon-y surprises."

The event also will feature music, photo ops and games.

Tickets are available online and can be bought for the afternoon session (11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or evening session (3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.). As of Wednesday night, only VIP tickets remained for the evening session.

7 p.m. - Jersey City Comedy Jam at 902 Brewing Co., 101 Pacific Ave.

Saturday

10 a.m.-5 p.m. - Fall Fest at the Liberty Science Center, 222 Jersey City Blvd. Lasts all month.

8 p.m. - Waxahatchee with Katy Kirby at White Eagle Hall, 337 Newark Ave., doors open at 7 p.m.

7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. - Saturday Night Specials Outdoor Comedy Shows at The Brightside Tavern, 141 Bright St.

Sunday

8 a.m. - Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Liberty State Park, 1 Audrey Zapp Dr. The walk will have a staggered start.

10 a.m.-5 p.m. - Fall Fest at the Liberty Science Center, 222 Jersey City Blvd. Lasts all month.
