Former Dominatrix Fired From Hudson County Sheriff's Officer Job

Rookie officer Kristen Hyman was fired from the force for her previous work as a professional dominatrix.

JERSEY CITY, NJ —Rookie officer Kristen Hyman was officially fired from Hudson County Sheriff's Office for having previously worked as a paid dominatrix, Sheriff Frank Schillari told the Jersey Journal. Schillari said an officer presiding over a disciplinary hearing had decided to terminate Hyman, and he agreed with that decision.

Hyman was first suspended without pay shortly before graduating from the police academy in June, but was allowed to graduate after a judge lifted the suspension. She was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the disciplinary hearing.

Between 2010 and 2012, Hyman reportedly worked as a paid dominatrix and appeared in videos, although she did not appear naked and did not perform sex acts. She no longer receives money for the sale of those videos.

The department argued that Hyman's past caused them to be "the subject of inquiry and ridicule among law enforcement," CBS reported.
