Free National Night Out Events To Be Held In 4 Jersey City Parks

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and Department of Public Safety officials will join the Jersey City Police Department on Tuesday night to host Jersey City’s National Night Out events in parks throughout the city.

The parks will include Audubon Park, Pershing Field, Arlington Park, and Hamilton Park.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate, the city said.

Each park will have live music, food, giveaways, kids entertainment, and other materials to promote safety awareness from participating local and community organizations.

Across the country, communities host NNO events to strengthen relations between the community and police department.

In Jersey City, they hope it helps in "opening the lines of communications to help make residents more comfortable with reaching out for help when needed."
