Victim Identified In Fatal Scooter Crash With Garbage Truck In Hudson County
The victim was identified in a crash on the Bergen Turnpike between an electric scooter and trash truck.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 22-year-old Hudson County man died early Wednesday morning in a crash between his electric scooter and a trash truck, prosecutors said.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Union City Police Department was notified of a crash on the Bergen Turnpike, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
Police found Mauricio Rodriguez, 22, of Union City with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterward, prosecutors said.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Union City Police Department are investigating, prosecutors said. No further information was available.
