A grandfather was reportedly killed in his New Jersey home, apparently dying from head injuries, according to authorities.

A grandfather was found murdered in his New Jersey home this weekend, according to authorities.
The man, later identified as Gregory Harvey, 60, was pronounced dead at approximately 2:05 p.m. on Saturday. The cause and manner of death are pending an investigation by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The murder happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. Saturday when police received a report of an unresponsive man at 112 Wilkinson Ave. in Jersey City, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

Responding police officers found the unresponsive man inside that location with apparent head injuries, according to the HCPO.
PIX11 described the man as a grandfather who was killed in a neighorhood that has had problems with drugs.

The prosecutor’s homicide unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
