Man Found Dead In Jersey City House; Homicide Unit Investigating
Someone called 911 Wednesday afternoon to say they had found a man dead inside the Jersey City house.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — After a 57-year-old man was found dead in a Jersey City house Wednesday afternoon, The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said that at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, the police received a 911 call from someone who found the man inside the home at 88 Van Nostrand Ave.
"Responding officers found the lifeless body of a 57-year-old man and he was pronounced dead at the scene," Suarez's office said.

At approximately 4:39 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department requested that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit assist in the investigation, prosecutors said.
The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
