Hudson County Man Had Child Sex Abuse Material On Server: Prosecutor

A Hudson County man was arrested Wednesday for possession of child sex abuse materials, prosecutors said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 25-year-old North Bergen man was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of child sex abuse materials on Wednesday, prosecutors said.

Nicholas Sanchez, 25, was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility to await his first court appearance, said the Prosecutor's Office.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip on Dec. 15, 2023 that child sex abuse material was being stored on an online server, prosecutors said.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Sanchez controlled the account.

Prosecutor Esther Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Special Victims Unit, Cyber Crimes Unit, Narcotics Task Force, and North Bergen Police Department with the investigation and arrest.
