JERSEY CITY, NJ — The preliminary results of the Jersey City school board race have been counted and are below.

The results will not be official until all votes are counted — including those put into the mail on Tuesday — and county clerk certifies them. Check the county website for updates.

Alexander Hamilton — Change for Children: 9,374

Doris Toni Ervin — Change for Children: 8,912

Kenny Reyes — Change for Children: 8,518

Noemi Velazquez — Education Matters: 14,254

Afaf Muhammad — Education Matters: 11,840

Christopher Tisdale — Education Matters: 12,542

Isnel Sanon — Voice for Progress: 3,506

Ahsan Nawaz — No slogan listed: 2,143

In the Hudson County sheriff and clerk races, incumbents Frank Schillari and Junior Maldonado amassed three quarters of the vote.
