Jersey City Man, 20, Sold Firearms To Undercover Cop Twice: Prosecutor
A 20-year-old Jersey City man sold firearms to an undercover police officer twice this year, says the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 20-year-old Jersey City man has been charged with firearms offenses after allegedly selling weapons to an undercover police officer, prosecutors said.
Emerson Deline has been charged with two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and two fourth-degree counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors said that during an investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Deline sold a handgun to an undercover police officer on Jan. 4, 2024 and again on Jan. 12.

He was arrested on Thursday, March 28, 2024, on Grand Street in Jersey City by members of the prosecutor's Narcotics Task Force, prosecutors said.
A Superior Court judge granted the State’s Motion for Detention on Tuesday, April 9, prosecutors said.
