Jersey City Mutual Aid Society Hosting Toiletry Collection Drive

Items like diapers, soap, deodorant and more can be donated March 13 at WORD Bookstore.

Looking for a way to support your local Jersey City neighbors? The Jersey City Mutual Aid Society (JCMAS) will be hosting a Collection Drive on Saturday, March 13 from 11am - 3pm outside of WORD Bookstore in downtown JC to collect needed items for the Jersey City community. These contributions go directly to the neighbors in our community who need them most. JCMAS is focusing on collecting items that will make the most impact in our community such as:

  • diapers
  • toilet paper
  • bottled water
  • tampons/pads
  • toothbrushes, toothpaste, & dental floss,
  • soap
  • shampoo & conditioner
  • moisturizer/body lotion
  • deodorant
  • baby formula, diaper rash cream, and baby soap.

If you want to contribute items but can’t make it to the event, JCMAS also has an online registry where folks can contribute the most needed items virtually. Or if you’d prefer to shop local, JCMAS will also offer to pick up contributions from your home if you fill out a pick-up request on their website. Please note: JCMAS cannot currently accept furniture, clothing or food contributions.
