A Jersey City housing supervisor has been arrested for taking a bribe, prosecutors said Saturday.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Jersey City housing supervisor has been arrested for accepting a bribe, prosecutors said Saturday.

Jessica Barreto, 48, of Wallington was charged with second-degree computer criminal activity, third-degree forgery, and fourth-degree falsifying/tampering with public records, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

She's been accused of accepting a $1,500 cash payment in return for issuing a short-term rental permit, prosecutors said.

She was arrested on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and released to await a court appearance on July 16, prosecutors said.
