Jersey City Teacher Arrested On Sex Charges: Prosecutor

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Jersey City teacher was arrested on criminal sexual charges Wednesday morning, Hudson County Prosecutor Ester Suarez said.

Sean Lora, age 42, of Bayonne, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, Suarez said. Lora works at Franklin Williams Middle School #7 in Jersey City.

The investigation began on March 6, when a student reported an "incident involving sexual touching by Lora," Suarez said. The principal contacted the special victim's unit, who found other, similar incidents, Suarez said.

Lora is being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending a court date.
