Man Charged In Crash On Jersey City Highway: Prosecutor
A Bergen County man was charged in a crash on Routes 1&9 that injured three people.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Hackensack man was charged on Friday in connection with a 2025 crash on a Jersey City highway that injured three people.
Antony Pena-Ceri, 36, was charged with one count of assault by auto, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
On Jan. 14, just after 4 a.m., Jersey City police responded to a crash on Routes 1&9 between Duncan and Communipaw avenue, prosecutors said.

Two cars were stopped on the southbound side of the road with extensive damage.
A 21-year-old man driving a white Honda Accord was treated for minor injuries.

The defendant was driving a black Honda Accord. He and his passenger were both treated for serious injuries, prosecutors said.
Investigators determined that Pena-Ceri was speeding when he crashed, prosecutors said.
Pena-Ceri was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and released to await his first court appearance, prosecutors said.
