JERSEY CITY, NJ — A man with autism who went missing from Jersey City Heights on Wednesday was found later in the day, police said. Police in Jersey City had asked residents to be on the lookout for the man, who also requires insulin three times each day for diabetes. But a police spokesperson told Patch around 3 p.m. that the man had been located in the city of Yonkers, just north of Manhattan. "He has been safely secured by Yonkers PD," said spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione. "Special thanks to the Port Authority Police Department and NJ Transit Police for their swift assistance in locating the Jersey City resident." Wallace-Scalcione did not have more information on how he got to Yonkers, or why. Patch has removed his missing poster from this story since he was found.
