New Jersey Devils and Stop & Shop Team Up to Face Off against the Flu

Devils 2-Time Stanley Cup Champion Colin White and NJ Devil Mascot Visit Stop & Shop to Promote Receiving the Flu Shot this Season

New Jersey Devils 2-time Stanley Cup Champion Colin White and mascot NJ Devil visited Stop & Shop today to promote the importance of receiving the flu vaccine.

The flu vaccine helps reduce serious respiratory illness and can help protect a person or mascot throughout the entire year. Stop & Shop pharmacies have been providing more immunizations year over year to protect its community, and according to the CDC, the flu vaccine has been shown to reduce the risk of having to go to the doctor with flu by 40% to 60%.

Colin White was drafted 49th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 1996. He played a key role in the team reaching the Stanley Cup finals three times (2000, 2001, 2003), including winning the Cup in 2000 and 2003. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team at the conclusion of the 2000-01 season. White was a member of the Devils for 11 seasons and retired from the NHL in 2012.
