New Café Holds 'Sneak Attack' Soft Opening In Downtown Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A growing group of coffee and dessert shops in North Jersey said they'd have a "sneak attack" soft opening Tuesday in downtown Jersey City.

Forum Coffee, which has two locations in Hoboken, has moved into the Sable (formerly Urby) residential tower at 200 Greene St., near the Harborside light rail stop.

The group of shops, with eight other locations in North Jersey, specializes in a range of coffee beverages, such as a creme brûlée latte they singe with a blowtorch. They also serve up ice cream desserts.

"We're proud to announce our quickest turnaround ever," they posted on social media late Monday night. "We're sneak attacking JC and will be SOFTLY open tomorrow and look forward to launching in a few weeks with our full line of products."

The building has hosted other cafés in their spacious lobby, which provides room for residents and customers to work.
