Northeast New Jersey Legal Services Awarded Veterans Grant
Grant to Expand Services for Low-Income Veterans in Hudson, Bergen and Passaic Counties

Northeast New Jersey Legal Services (NNJLS) has been awarded the Legal Services for Homeless Veterans and Veterans At-Risk for Homelessness (LSV-H) grant from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This funding will enhance NNJLS’s Veterans Justice Project, which provides essential legal services to veterans facing issues such as housing instability, family law matters, benefits assistance, discharge upgrades, and more.
NNJLS is committed to offering legal advice and representation to veterans and their families throughout Hudson, Bergen and Passaic counties. The multilingual staff is available to assist those in need at (973) 523-2900.
NNJLS is a nonprofit legal services provider. For more than 50 years, NNJLS has provided comprehensive legal representation and services at no-cost to low-income individuals and families, throughout communities in Hudson, Bergen and Passaic Counties. NNJLS offices are located in Jersey City, Hackensack and Paterson.

The mission of NNJLS is to ensure equal access to the justice system, regardless of a person’s ability to afford a private attorney. NNJLS focuses on four core areas—housing, public benefits, family, and consumer law—while also offering specialized programs for veterans, students and their parents, survivors of domestic violence, immigrants, seniors, and those facing Federal income tax issues. Services include legal representation, advice, advocacy, community education, and referrals.
