HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — After temperatures climbed from the 20s to 70 this week in a matter of days, thunderstorms may bring relief — and danger. The area is under a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight, with the potential for high winds.

In Hoboken, the city warned that sudden intense rainfall could cause flooding.

A strong line of storms can be seen on the radar here, moving east toward New Jersey.
