Woman Dies After Being Hit By 'Multiple' Vehicles In Jersey City: Prosecutors

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A woman has died after being hit by "multiple" vehicles on a corner in Jersey City Monday night, prosecutors said — and they believe the first driver to strike her is still at large.

Billiah Mogusu, 58, of Jersey City, was struck near the corner of Route 440 and Danforth Avenue, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

She was struck at 5:20 p.m. and pronounced dead a short time later, they said.

Prosecutors said that "During the preliminary investigation, it was determined the victim had been struck by multiple

vehicles, many of which remained at the scene. The initial striking vehicle is not believed to have remained at the scene."

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the crash with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
