Two Men Shot Wednesday Night In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ —Two men were shot late Wednesday in the area of Bidwell Avenue and Ocean Avenue in Jersey City, according to a spokesperson for the city.

Authorities said the shooting took place at approximately 11:09 p.m. and led to two men being transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

One of the victims was a 30-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the left buttock, and the other was a 31-year-old male with a wound to his left hip, Jersey City spokesperson Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.

The city has not identified the victims or given an update on their conditions. Nor has the city given any motive for the shooting or identified any suspects.
