• Reentry Program in Kearny Graduates 400 (hudpost.com) — A major reentry training program based in Kearny just graduated about 400 people at the Governor's Reentry Training and Employment Center, with local leaders praising participants' hard work. Graduates earned certifications in construction trades, healthcare, and digital skills, and organizers report high completion and employment rates. The center has now served thousands of court-involved and formerly incarcerated New Jersey residents.
• Hudson County Joins Kearny Lawsuit Over Tourist Helicopter Operations (tapinto.net) — Kearny's push to rein in noisy tourist helicopter flights just gained major backing, as Hudson County moves to join the town's lawsuit over operations at the South Kearny heliport. Regional officials say residents deserve relief from constant helicopter noise and safety concerns.
