2 Lacey Officers Graduate From Leadership Academy

LACEY, NJ — Two Lacey Township Police Department officers have achieved a highly competitive career accomplishment.

On Feb. 23, Lt. Robert Flynn and Sgt. Samuel Della Sala graduated from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Command and Leadership Academy, the department announced Monday.

The NJSACOP Command and Leadership Academy is a highly competitive, 14-week program that combines theory and application, according to the NJSACOP website.

It was designed in collaboration between NJSACOP and United States Military Academy at West Point for officers with the "greatest leadership potential," according to NJSACOP.

"For a program of this caliber, law enforcement professionals who are selected make more than a casual commitment; it is an intensive, demanding course that will pay dividends for the participant and his or her agency for a lifetime," the NJSACOP website reads.

Members of each graduating class not only have to complete 100+ hours in the classroom, they also have to do another 100+ hours of study/assignment time outside of class, the department said.

"Congratulations to Lt. Robert Flynn and Sgt. Samuel Della Sala," the department said.
