LACEY, NJ — A lifelong Lacey resident, Vincent Pagano, is the Lacey Township Police Department's newest officer.
Pagano was sworn in at a recent Township Committee meeting.
Captain Samuel Della Salla thanked local officials and introduced Pagano to those attending the meeting. “I want to thank the township committee, mayor and administrator for the support as always. It's a great thing to be able to welcome someone new to the force,” he said.
Della Salla described Pagano as “a lifelong Lacey resident. He went through all the school systems here. He graduated high school in 2021. He also went to Votech for diesel technology,” the captain said. He added that Pagano had worked in different fields and had been a member of the electrical union before pursuing the police job.
Della Salla also outlined what comes next for the new officer.
“After today, he's going to be in July headed to the police academy. After graduating that, he'll be coming to our field training program right in the patrol division,” he said.
He told Pagano the career ahead would be demanding and congratulated him on joining the department.
“He is a real good young man and we're glad to have him and it's a demanding career. You got a lot ahead of you,” Della Salla said.
