LACEY, NJ — The Lacey Township Board of Education announced the upcoming appointment of Dr. Jeffrey Brewer as the new superintendent of the Lacey Township School District.
The district also invited students, families, staff and community members to a welcoming reception on Friday, June 26, at 5:15 p.m. in the Lacey Township High School Lecture Hall.
According to the district, the event will formally welcome Brewer and mark the start of what the district described as a new chapter of leadership. The reception is open to the community and will be held at the high school as the district prepares for the leadership transition.
The district said Brewer brings 26 years of experience in Lacey Township schools. His work in the district has included serving as a high school science teacher, Dean of Discipline, vice principal of the high school and, most recently, principal of Lanoka Harbor Elementary School, a role he has held for the past 14 years.
The announcement also said Brewer earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Curriculum from Nova Southeastern University. According to the district, that academic background and his experience across multiple grade levels position him to lead the school system.
“The Lacey Township Board of Education is pleased to formally announce the upcoming appointment of Dr. Jeffrey Brewer as the new Superintendent of the Lacey Township School District,” the announcement said.
In the same announcement, the district described the appointment as “a significant milestone for our entire community, a moment to unite in shared pride and purpose as we look toward a bright future.” The district also said the board has confidence in Brewer’s vision, commitment to academic excellence and dedication to students in Lacey Township.
