FORKED RIVER, NJ — Teens and adults looking to explore college options will have a chance to meet with school representatives at a free college fair at the Ocean County Library's Lacey Branch. The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the branch in Forked River.
According to the library's announcement, prospective students can stop by to receive information from colleges, universities and other organizations as they prepare for their forthcoming college years. The event is open to both teens and adults, giving residents at different stages of their education a chance to learn more about possible next steps.
The library said attendees will be able to chat with representatives from participating schools to get an idea of the path that may work best for them. Among the schools expected to be present are Ocean County College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Stevens Institute of Technology and Monmouth University.
Compass Behavioral Health also will be on hand to provide mental health resources, according to the announcement.
Registration is not required for the program, and the event is free. The Lacey Branch is located at 10 East Lacey Road, Forked River.
