LACEY, NJ — Road restoration work is scheduled on seven local streets following recent New Jersey Natural Gas transmission line and service upgrades, according to township officials.
The notice says Montauk Drive, Shenandoah Drive, Preble Drive, Indianola Drive, Boxer Drive, Osage Drive and Neosho Drive will receive paving restoration activities.
The work will involve milling and paving in areas affected by gas trenching work. According to the notice, in most cases that will involve one half of the roadway area. Traffic control will be in place during the work, and the notice says that may result in travel delays because of alternating traffic patterns.
The paving is expected to be completed in phases. Phase 1 is scheduled to begin Sept. 16 and continue Sept. 17, according to the notice. Phase 2 is planned for on or about Sept. 24, and Phase 3 is planned for on or about Sept. 28.
Residents who live on the affected streets are being asked to adjust for collection days during the project. The notice says residents should place garbage and recycling containers curbside before 7 a.m. on scheduled collection days to help accommodate both collection operations and paving activities.
Drivers using the area should expect some temporary disruptions while crews work through each phase. Alternating traffic patterns are expected during the paving process.
